USI finishes its road marathon this week
The #2-ranked Screaming Eagles, 4-0 overall and 2-0 in the GLVC, are coming off a 78-65 victor over the Kentucky Wesleyan College. USIís 2-0 start is 100 percent better than last season when the squad started the year 0-2.
The Eagles have been road warriors in the GLVC since January 4 of last season. USI has won nine straight conference road games and has swept four straight league road trips.
On Thursday, the Eagles will be attempting to continue their winning ways in St. Louis, Missouri, when they take on the Rivermen, who are 3-3 overall and 1-1 in the GLVC. USI has won five of its last six games at the Mark Twain Building and leads the series, 16-10.
Saturday afternoon, USI will face a Quincy squad that starts the week 2-4 overall and winless in the GLVC at 0-2. The Hawks will host KWC Thursday evening before hosting USI on Saturday. The Eagles have won six of the last seven meetings at the Pepsi Arena and lead the series, 14-4.
The next home game for the Screaming Eagles will be Monday, December 8, when USI hosts Henderson State University at the Physical Activities Center.
