USI men’s basketball rises to third in region poll
Eagles do not receive votes for top 25
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana men’s basketball team improved to third in the NCAA Division II Great Lakes Regional Poll released on Wednesday. The Screaming Eagles, who were fifth in the first regional poll, did not receive votes for this week’s NABC Division II Top 25 poll.
Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, USI’s opponent Thursday evening, remained number one in the region and rose to fifth nationally. The University of Findlay also remained anchored in the number two spot and was ranked sixth nationally.
In addition USI and SIUE, the GLVC was represented by the University of Indianapolis, which was sixth, and Saint Joseph’s College, which remained 10th in the poll.
