Holbrook named first team All-Region

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana senior forward/center Randy Holbrook (St. Louis, Missouri) was named first team All-Great Lakes Region by the National Association of Basketball Coaches.

Holbrook was USI’s top scorer in 2004-05, dropping in 16.2 points per game, shooting 62.7 percent from the field (170-271), and blocking 21 shots. He also ranked second on the squad with 6.6 rebounds per game.

In addition to being named to the NABC All-Region team, Holbrook was named Daktronics first team All-Great Lakes Region, first team All-GLVC, and the GLVC Tournament Most Outstanding Player.

Overall, USI was 27-5, won the GLVC regular season championship with an 18-2 league record, and captured its first GLVC Tournament crown in 2004-05. The Eagles have reached 20-or-more wins each of the last 13 seasons, have won 25 or more games 10 times since 1993-94, and have made 12 NCAA Division II Tournament appearances in the last 13 years.
