EVANSVILLE, Ind. – The University of Southern Indiana men's basketball team announced the signing of six-foot-eight, 270 pound junior forward
Jeron Lewis to a scholarship for the 2008-09 season. The Lewis is the ninth player to commit to USI and Head Coach
Rick Herdes for this season and will have two years of eligibility remaining.
Lewis transfers to USI after spending last season at Northeastern Junior College (Sterling, Colorado). He averaged 9.1 points and 4.8 rebounds per game, while shooting 60.4 percent from the field (122-202).

"Jeron is a good addition to our squad," said Herdes. "He is a true post player with good hands and is an excellent rebounder. His size and athleticism will give us a presence on the inside that we have not seen at USI in a while.
Lewis joins a recruiting class that includes guards

Marvin Gray (Bahamas),
Kevin Gant (Indianapolis, Indiana),
