USI’s Schwartz solidifies 5,000-meter qualifying time,
Finishes second at Butler Twilight

University of Southern Indiana junior men’s track and field runner Doug Schwartz (Centralia, Illinois) finished second in the 5,000 meters at the Butler Twilight Saturday in Indianapolis, Indiana. Schwartz ran a 14:31.31 to solidify his NCAA II provisional qualifying time in the event.
Schwartz improved upon his season-best time of 14:32.93, in which he finished first at the Washington Invitational.
The Screaming Eagles will travel to Edwardsville, Illinois, this Thursday and Friday, May 8-9, to partake in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships.
