USI men’s cross country moves to 17th in country,
Women fall to 11th
The University of Southern Indiana men’s cross country team moved to 17th in the latest NCAA Division II Cross Country Poll, while the women’s team fell from seventh to 11th.
The Screaming Eagles recently competed in the Great American Cross Country Festival in Cary, North Carolina, with the men’s squad finishing fourth, out of 21 teams, in the University Division competition and the women’s squad finishing third, out of 18 teams, in the University Division competition.
Both squads are ranked fourth in the latest Great Lakes Region Poll. The men moved up from fifth while the women remained in the same spot.
USI will return to action Saturday, October 11, when it travels to Edwardsville, Illinois, to take part in the Illinois/Missouri Border Wars.
