NASHVILLE, Tenn.—University of Southern Indiana track and field seniors Crystal Stock (Mt. Vernon, Indiana) and Jesse Davis (Bloomington, Indiana) continued their hot streaks this weekend at the Vanderbilt Invitational.

Stock posted her second straight NCAA II provisional qualifying mark as she finished second in the 3,000 meters with a time of nine minutes, 48.22 seconds. She posted a provisional qualifier in the 1,500 meters a week ago at the Pacesetter Invitational in Terre Haute, Indiana.

Davis also posted his second straight NCAA II provisional qualifying time, this one coming in the 3,000-meter steeplechase where he crossed the finish line in fifth place with a time of nine minutes, 19.83 seconds. He also posted a provisional qualifier in the 800 meters last weekend at the Pacesetter Invitational.

The Screaming Eagles' men's squad also got a superb effort in the 400 meters out of freshman
Brandon Jones (Fort Wayne, Indiana). Jones finished 10th in the event as he broke his old school record with a time of 48.47 seconds.
USI returns to action sends a squad of around 10 student-athletes to the Hillsdale "Gina" Relays, which are slated for April 27-29 in Hillsdale, Michigan. The GLVC Championships are May 5-6 in Rensselaer, Indiana, while the NCAA II Championships are May 25-27 in Emporia, Kansas.
