Davis, Burgin solidify NCAA provisional times

NASHVILLE, Tenn.—University of Southern Indiana track and field men's senior Jesse Davis (Bloomington, Indiana) and women's junior Missy Burgin (Sellersburg, Indiana) solidified their NCAA II provisional qualifying times Saturday at the Tennessee Running Distance Solution.
Davis ran the 800 meters in one minute, 51.54 seconds, good enough for 10th place. Burgin was fourth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a time of 10 minutes, 59.08 seconds.
Senior Jake England (Valparaiso, Indiana) also competed in the men's 1,500 meters, posting a time of three minutes, 57.46 seconds.
The final NCAA II Championship declaration list is expected to be announced later this week. The NCAA II Championships are May 25-27 in Emporia, Kansas.
