Stahl fifth at McDonald's Invitational

EVANSVILLE, Ind.—University of Southern Indiana men's track and field junior Tristan Mannix (Crothersville, Indiana) and freshman Jake Stahl (Gentryville, Indiana) each recorded top-five finishes this weekend.

Mannix finished second in the 5,000 meters at the Indiana Hoosier Relays in Bloomington, Indiana, while Stahl was fifth in the 800 meters at the McDonald's Invitational in Carbondale, Illinois.

Freshman Tim Sirbek (Hammond, Indiana) and sophomore Taylor Sellers (Mt. Vernon, Indiana) also posted top-10 finishes. Sirbek was ninth in the 3,000 meters (invitational) at the Hoosier Relays, while Sellers was ninth in the 800 meters at the McDonald's Invitational.

The Screaming Eagles also posted a seventh-place finish in the 4x400-meter relay at the McDonald's Invitational.

USI competes in two meets next weekend with a small squad participating at the Iowa State Classic in Ames, Iowa, and the rest of the team competing at the DePauw Invitational in Greencastle, Indiana.
