Mannix notches another win as Eagles finish sixth at DePauw

GREENCASTLE, Ind.—Senior
Tristan Mannix (Crothersville, Indiana) recorded his third straight win Saturday as he finished first in the mile to lead the University of Southern Indiana men's track and field team to a sixth-place performance at the DePauw Invitational.
Mannix, who finished second in the 1,000 meters later in the day, completed the race in four minutes, 19.01 seconds. For the season, he ranks first in the GLVC in the 3,000 and 5,000 meters and third in the league in the mile.
As a team, the Screaming Eagles had seven top-five finishers and 16 top-10 finishers as they wrapped up the one-day event with 52 total points.

In addition to Mannix, freshman
David Goodman (Valparaiso, Indiana) was second in the mile, while freshman
Justin Kendrick (Ellettsville, Indiana) and sophomore
Brandon Campbell (Portage, Indiana) were third and fourth, respectively, in the 3,000 meters. Freshman
Cole Schroer (Bowling Green, Indiana) was fourth in the 600 meters, while USI's 4x200-meter relay team was fifth to round out USI's top-five finishes.
USI will run a split-squad next weekend as it competes at the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Arkansas, Friday and Saturday and at DePauw Classic on Saturday.
