Eagles record nine top-10 finishes at EKU Open

RICHMOND, Ky.—The University of Southern Indiana men's track and field team recorded nine top-10 finishes at the Eastern Kentucky University Open Friday night.

Freshman David Goodman (Valparaiso, Indiana) led the Screaming Eagles with a fifth-place finish in the 1,500 meters, while freshman Steve Hartman (Ft. Wayne, Indiana) was sixth in the 400-meter hurdles.

USI also posted a sixth-place finish in the 4x100-meter relay, while freshman Cole Schroer (Bowling Green, Indiana) was seventh in the 400-meter hurdles.

The Eagles are scheduled to run a split squad next weekend as part of the team will travel north to take part in the Hillsdale "Gina" Relays in Hillsdale, Michigan, April 25-26. The rest of the squad will compete at the Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Twilight in Edwardsville, Illinois, April 26.
