Mannix posts provisional qualifying time in 10,000 meters

NAPERVILLE, Ill.—University of Southern Indiana men's track and field senior
Tristan Mannix (Crothersville, Illinois) posted a provisional qualifying time in the 10,000 meters Thursday night at the Dr. Keeler Invitational.
Mannix finished sixth in the event with a time of 30 minutes, 52.29 seconds. His time ranks him 25th in the nation.
Mannix will have to await the final declarations to see if he will make the trip to Walnut, California, and the NCAA II Outdoor Championships, which are scheduled for May 22-24.
Fellow classmate
Jeremy Kemper (West Terre Haute, Indiana) was 44th in the 5,000 meters with a time of 15 minutes, 49.55 seconds, while women's junior
Allison Shafer (Plainville, Indiana) was unable to finish the 10,000 meters.
The Screaming Eagles also have a group running in the Billy Hayes Invitational today in Bloomington, Indiana.
