Roads earns academic award

EVANSVILLE, Ind.—University of Southern Indiana men's cross country/track and field senior
Rob Roads (Terre Haute, Indiana) was named to the USTFCCCA All-Academic Men's Track and Field Team.
Roads, who is a five-time Academic All-GLVC performer in cross country and track, was one of 108 Division II student-athletes to earn the award after a solid outdoor season.
To qualify for the USTFCCCA All-Academic Track and Field Team, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 and have met the NCAA Division II Indoor or Outdoor automatic or provisional qualifying standard in their respective event.
Roads, who has a 3.631 GPA in physical education, recorded an NCAA II provisional qualifying time in the 3,000-meter steeplechase during the outdoor season. He was fifth in the steeplechase and 13th in the 5,000 meters at the GLVC Outdoor Championships.
