BLOOMINGTON, Ind.—University of Southern Indiana men's track and field senior sprinter
Tom Cunningham (Bridgeport, Illinois) set a pair of school records Saturday at the Indiana Open.
Cunningham, who was the only USI competitor in action Saturday, finished third in the 60 meters with a record-setting time of 6.93 seconds. He also finished fourth in the 200 meter with a school-record time of 22.53 seconds. Both times were close to meeting NCAA II provisional qualifying standards.
USI officially starts its indoor season Saturday when it competes in the Indiana Invitational in Bloomington, Indiana.
