Goodman finished third in the 3,000-meter invitational with a time of eight minutes, 34.41 seconds. He leads the GLVC in the 3,000 meters as the Screaming Eagles have the top four times in the event.
This marks the second straight week the Eagles have had a competitor earn GLVC Men's Track Athlete of the Week honors. Goodman, the GLVC Freshman of the Year in both indoor and outdoor track last season, joins senior sprinter
Tom Cunningham (Bridgeport, Illinois), who earned the honor last week.
Missouri S&T's Peter Hollenbeck also was named the GLVC Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week. Hollenbeck finished first in the pole vault at the Indiana Relays.
USI returns to action Saturday when it competes at the Hoosier Invitational in Bloomington, Indiana.
