USI men's cross country runs into national rankings
The University of Southern Indiana men's cross country team entered the NCAA Division II Cross Country Top 20 for the first time this fall with a number-13 national ranking in the fourth poll of the season. The poll is conducted by the NCAA Division II Cross Country Coaches Association.
In addition to the national ranking, USI is joined in the top 20 by Lewis University, which is fifth nationally and first in the Great Lakes Region, and the University of Indianapolis, 18th nationally and fourth in the region. The University of Wisconsin-Parkside is ranked ninth in the region.
The Lewis Flyers could be USI's top competition in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championships on October 20 in Louisville, Kentucky. USI will enter the GLVC Championships looking to capture the crown for the first time since 1991.
