CROSS COUNTRY: Was a medical red-shirt in 2006 after competing in just two
meets...was USI's top-finisher (third overall) at the USI Alumni Opener with
a 6k time of 18:01.00...finished 14th in the Little State competition and
31st overall at the Indiana Intercollegiate with an 8k time of 26:52.90.
INDOOR TRACK: Competed in one meet, posting a time of 4:29.58 in the
mile at the Indiana Open II. OUTDOOR TRACK: Did not compete.
2005-06
CROSS COUNTRY: Was USI's top runner in five races...earned All-GLVC and
All-Region honors...finished second at the GLVC Championships with a
season-best 8k time of 24:34.74 and third at the NCAA II Great Lakes Regional
Championships with a season-best 10k time of 31:42.50...was 118th at the at
the NCAA II Championships with a 10k
time of 35:18.50...finished first at the UE Early Bird Invitational with a 6k
time of 18:11.30...was ninth at the Loyola Lakefront Classic with an 8k time
of 24:54.00...was second at the Saluki Invitational with an 8k time of
25:03.93...was named the inaugural GLVC Runner of the Week on September 7.
INDOOR TRACK: Red-shirted. OUTDOOR TRACK: Red-shirted.
TRANSFER: Transferred from Rend Lake Community College where he was a 10-time All-American and RLCC's top finisher, placing sixth overall, for the 2003 NJCAA National Championship cross country team...also finished 16th at the 2004 NJCAA Division I National Cross Country Championships to earn his second All-America award and help the Warriors to a third-place finish...has a personal-best of 25:02 in the 8k...recorded four All-America awards in indoor track and four more All-America awards in outdoor track...top indoor finish of second in the 5,000 meters at the 2005 NJCAA Indoor Championships and top outdoor finish of sixth in both the 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters at the 2004 NJCAA II Outdoor Championships. HIGH SCHOOL: Graduated from Danville High School. PERSONAL: Is a Golden Gloves boxer.
