Skodinski named All-GLVC for men’s golf
University of Southern Indiana’s Andy Skodinski (New Ross, Indiana), a junior on the men’s golf team, was named to the All-Great Lakes Valley Conference team for 2001-02. The GLVC bestows post-season honors to players, who finish in the top five of the GLVC Tournament and the five best season averages.
Skodinski, who qualified for the NCAA Division II Super-Regional and finished fifth, led the Screaming Eagles this year with a 75.6 average in eight tournaments (19 rounds). He shot a 76.9 in the fall and improved by over two strokes in the spring with a 74.7 average.
Skodinski, who placed 11th in the GLVC Tournament last fall, posted a season-best 69 at the Greg Palmer Classic, hosted by Morehead State University, and the NCAA II Regional 3 at Deer Track Golf Course in Auburn, Indiana.
