Two USI men’s golfers named All-America Scholars
Two University of Southern Indiana men’s golfers have been named Cleveland Golf All-America Scholars. Juniors Andy Skodinski (New Ross, Indiana) and Brett Smith (Jasper, Indiana) were among 40 NCAA Division II men’s golfers to be selected to the honor.
Skodinski, who earned All-GLVC honors in 2001-02 after posting a team-best 75.6 strokes-per-round average, led USI in five of the Screaming Eagles’ last seven outings. He finished fifth at the NCAA II Regional Tournament as well as the NCAA II Super Regional Tournament. Skodinski also took first at the Bellarmine Invitational during the spring and posted a low round of 69 twice.
Smith was fourth on the team with a 78.5 strokes-per-round average. Smith played in 16 rounds this season.
Skodinski is a finance major while Smith is a business administration major.
