USI takes the lead after round one
The University of Southern Indiana men's golf team combined for its best round of the fall and leads after the first round of the USI Invitational at Helfrich Golf Course in Evansville, Indiana. The Screaming Eagles shot a one-over par 289 as a team on Monday and has one round left on Tuesday, October 1.
Leading the way for the Eagles and tying for the tournament's top spotis USI junior Nathan Wolfe (Henderson, Kentucky). Wolfe tied Ryan Messner of Saint Jospeh's College and Parker Scarboro of Brescia with a two-under 70.
Joining Wolfe in the top 10 is senior Ryan Overby (Providence, Kentucky), who was fourth with a 71 senior Tim Garner (Martinsville, Indiana), who was fifth as a individual with a 72 and junior Zach Smith (Evansville, Indiana), who tied for sixth with a 73.
