USI men's golf has its best tournament
of the spring at Oiler Spring Invitational
University of Southern Indiana men’s golf junior Ryan Overby(Providence, Kentucky) placed 12th in leading USI to a fourth place finish in the Oiler Spring Invitational in Arlington Ohio. The tournament was hosted by the University of Findlay.
Overby, who shot a two-day 153 (75-78), was followed on the team by juniorNathan Wolfe (Henderson, Kentucky) and senior Tim Garner(Martinsville, Indiana). Wolfe (77-78) and Garner (75-80) shot an identical two-day 155 and tied for 19th.
As a team, the Screaming Eagles had their best days of the spring with a two-day 626 (312-314) and placing fourth.
USI will return to action Monday and Tuesday, April 14-15, in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament at Otter Creek Golf Course in Columbus, Indiana. The GLVC Tournament is being played during the spring season for the first time.
