Bolerjack to transfer to USI
Bolerjack is first signee for Scheessele
Freshman Adam Bolerjack (Carmi, Illinois), a redshirt freshman men’s golfer at Rollins College, will transfer to the University of Southern Indiana for the 2003-04 season. Bolerjack is the first player to join the USI men’s golf team under new head coach Matt Scheessele.
A redshirt last season at Rollins, Bolerjack was a four-sport letterwinner at Carmi-White County High School in golf, basketball, track, and wrestling. He was the Most Valuable Player as a senior, leading the team to a third place finish in the Illinois State Tournament in 2001. CWHS also made an appearance in the Illinois State Tournament during Bolerjack’s sophomore season.
In junior golf, Bolerjack won the Triple Crown of Junior Golf with a three-day score of six-under and the Ram Jam in 2002. He was one of the top 30 junior golfers at the 2000 Nationals in Orlando, Florida.
Bolerjack also has done the job in the classroom, earning a mention on the President’s List at Rollins last fall and was the salutatorian for the CWHS class of 2002.
“Adam’s ability to balance the demands of both the classroom and the golf course make him a tremendous asset in returning our team to the top of the GLVC,” said Scheessele. “On the course, he can get the ball off the tee and has the ability to score. He will have a chance to be very successful over the next few seasons.”
