USI men’s golf finishes seventh in season-opener

CAMBY, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana men’s golf team finished seventh Tuesday in its season-opener, the University of Indianapolis Invitational at the Heartland Crossing Golf Course. The Screaming Eagles shot a 315 for the one-round tournament that featured 16 teams.
Senior Craig Toler (Moweaqua, Illinois) finished the front nine with a 38 and matched that score on the back nine to lead the Eagles with a 76, putting him in a tie for 17th. Sophomore Adam Bolerjack (Carmi, Illinois) shot a 40 on the front nine and a 38 on the back nine to finish in a tie for 29th.
Indianapolis took home the team title with a score of 297, while Marian College’s Stephen Ford was the tournament medalist with a low round of 70.
USI will return to action September 12-13 to compete in the Northern Kentucky Invitational at the Perry Park Golf Course in Perry Park, Kentucky.
