USI jumps two spots in the final round
COLDWATER, MI–The University of Southern Indiana men’s golf team jumped two spots in the final round of the Great Lakes Fall Regional hosted by Grand Valley State University at the Blackberry Patch Golf Club in Coldwater, Michigan.
The Screaming Eagles jumped from 18th to 16th by shooting 307 as a team on Monday and finishing the tournament total a 612 (311-307). USI passed Quincy University and Saint Joseph’s College.
USI junior Christian Farley (Henderson, Kentucky) led the Eagles Monday with a 74 and jumped 20 places into a tie for 40th with a two-day 152 (78-74). He was followed by freshman Blake Hilliard (Olney, Illinois) finished 45th with a two-round 153.
The Eagles will complete the fall schedule in the University of Missouri-Kansas City Invitational on October 4-5. The tournament will be held at the Oakwood Country Club in Kansas City, Missouri.
