USI is seventh after two rounds of Bill Ross Intercollegiate
Screaming Eagles shoot 289 in second round
KANSAS CITY, MO–The University of Southern Indiana men’s golf team was seventh after shooting 606 (317-289) as a team during the first day of the Bill Ross Intercollegiate, hosted by the University of Missouri-Kansas City. The final round will be played on Tuesday.
The Screaming Eagles struggled on their first tour of the Oakwood Country Club (par 72), shooting a 317, but rebounded with a 289, their best round of the fall. The 289 also was USI’s best team score since the 2002 fall season when the Eagles shot a 289 in the first round of the USI Invitational at Helfrich Hills Golf Course.
USI junior Christian Farley (Henderson, Kentucky) shot a team-best 69 in the second round, rebounding from an 80 to start the tournament. Farley, who finished 36-holes in seventh place, was followed by senior Craig Toler (Moweaqua, Illinois), who was 34th after shooting a two-round 154 (81-73).
