USI men’s golf is third at Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.– The University of Southern Indiana men’s golf team took third at the Indianapolis Quadrangular hosted by the University of Indianapolis. The Screaming Eagles, who shot a team 301, defeated Northern Kentucky University, which shot a 304, while losing to Bellarmine University, which won the tournament with a 288, and Indianapolis, which was second with a 298.
The 301 team score as the best round by the USI squad this spring.
USI was led by sophomore Jason Pinkstaff, who shot a 72. Pinkstaff’s 72 was three shots off the pace set by the tournament medallist Jason Fryia, who shot a 69.
