USI men’s golf finishes in tie for second
COLUMBUS, Ind.—The University of Southern Indiana men’s golf team shot a season-low 294 to finish in a tie for second at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside Invitational Saturday at the Otter Creek Golf Course in Columbus, Indiana.
The Screaming Eagles were six over par as a team, finishing just four strokes off the leader, Northern Kentucky University.
Senior Craig Toler (Moweaqua, Illinois) led the Eagles with an even-par 72 and finished in a tie for eighth. Freshman Blake Hilliard (Olney, Illinois), junior Jason Pinkstaff (Huntingburg, Indiana), and senior Mike Heider (Anderson, Indiana) all finished in a tie for 14th with a 74.
USI will return to action April 3-4 when it completes in the University of Missouri-St. Louis Invitational at the Winghaven Country Club in O’Fallen, Missouri.
