Eagles finish eighth at Riverman Invitational
O’FALLON, Mo.—The University of Southern Indiana men’s golf team finished eighth out of 11 teams at the University of Missouri-St. Louis Riverman Invitational Monday at the Winghaven Country Club. The Screaming Eagles shot an opening-round 308 and finished with a 309 to finish the two-day tournament with a team score of 617.
Freshman Blake Hilliard (Olney, Illinois), who finished in a tie for 16th, led the Eagles with a two-round 150, recording the squad’s low-score of the tournament (74) in the closing round. Senior Craig Toler (Moweaqua, Illinois) shot a 75 on the final day and finished with a two-day score of 154, finishing in a tie for 24th.
USI will compete at the GLVC Championship April 11-12 at the Otter Creek Golf Course in Columbus, Indiana.
