Tough third round puts USI sixth

USI, which was third after the first 36 holes, finished just two strokes out of fifth and 10 strokes out of fourth with a three-round 915 (297-304-314). The University of Wisconsin-Parkside won the tournament with a three-round 890 (293-303-294).
Eagles’ senior Craig Toler (Moweaqua, IL) led the Eagles and finished eighth with a three-round 223 (72-72-79), seven strokes behind GLVC individual champion David Shearer of Northern Kentucky. Shearer shot a three-round 216 (74-65-77).
The next action for the Eagles will be in the season’s third NCAA North Regional. The tournament will be April 16-17 at the Timbergate Golf Course in Columbus, Indiana.
