Eagles take fifth after posting a 597 at NKU Invitational

PERRY PARK, Ky. The University of Southern Indiana men's golf team shot a strong 597 in the two rounds of the Northern Kentucky Invitational, but finished fifth in a strong field. The Screaming Eagles (294-303) finished 22 strokes behind the University of Indianapolis, which won the tournament with a 575 (287-288).

USI was led by sophomore
Drew Dunkerly (Linton, Indiana), who tied for ninth. Dunkerly tied a collegiate-best with a 72 in the second round and record his best collegiate 36-hole score of 146.
Dunkerly was followed by junior
Nick Frazer (Evansville, Indiana), who was two strokes back with a 148 (72-76) to tied for 13th.
Freshman
Keaton Bradshaw (Carmi, Illinois) had USI's best round of the tournament with a 71 in the first round. Bradshaw finished tied for 18th with a two-round 150 (71-79).
The Eagles will be idle until September 24-25 when they play in the Great Lakes Region Fall Invitational, hosted by Grand Valley State University in South Haven, Michigan.
