USI shoots best round of the fall
Eagles finish sixth in UNA Fall Classic

MUSCLE SHOALS, Ala. The University of Southern Indiana men's golf team posted its best round of the fall to finish sixth at the University of North Alabama Fall Classic in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. The tournament was held at the Cypress Lake Country Club.
USI shot a 290 in the second round of the tournament, moving from ninth after the first round to sixth. The Scremaing Eagles posted a 301 in the first round.
Overall, the Eagles' 591 was 29 strokes back of UNA, which won its home tournament with a 562 (276-286).
Individually, junior Blake Hilliard
led the Eagles with a 144 (71-73) to tie for ninth. He was follwed by senior Caleb Hughes
(Carmi, Illinois), who was a stroke back with a 145 (74-71) and tied for 11th.
Hilliard's 71 in the first round and Hughes' 71 in the second round were individual season-bests. Freshman Levi Cox
(Wadesville, Indiana) also had an individual season-best with a 72 in the final round.
The Eagles conclude the fall half of the schedule October 16-17 in the Indian Bayou Invitational. The tournament will be at the Indian Bayou Country Club in Destin, Floria.
