USI finishes fall at Indian Bayou
USI Individual Results Complete Results
DESTIN, Fla. The University of Southern Indiana men's golf team completed the fall portion of the 2006-07 campaign by placing 11th in the Indiana Bayou Classic, hosted by the University of North Alabama in Destin, Florida. The tournament, which was shortened to one round due to heavy rains, was played at the Indian Bayou Country Club.
USI's 18-hole 330 was 27 strokes off the pace set by tournament champion Columbus State University, which recorded a team 303.
The Screaming Eagles were led by junior Blake Hilliard (Olney, Illinois), who tied for 28th with a single-round 81. Senior Caleb Hughes (Carmi, Illinois), junior Ted O'Brien (Santa Claus, Indiana), and freshman Levi Cox (Wadesville, Indiana) followed Hilliard, tying for 38th when each player posted an 83.
At the midway point of the season, the Eagles are averaging 302.9 strokes per round (spra). Hilliard is the top individual with a 75.4 spra in six tournaments.
