USI is sixth after final round of GLVC tournament

COLUMBUS, Ind. The University of Southern Indiana men's golf team completed the GLVC Tournament with a sixth place finish Tuesday afternoon in Columbus, Indiana. The tournament was played at the Otter Creek Golf Course.

The Screaming Eagles finished sixth by shooting a three-round 915 (299-303-313), 34 strokes behind conference champion University of Indianapolis. The Greyhounds posted a three-round 881 (289-291-301).

Ted O'Brien (Santa Claus, Indiana) and freshman
Matt Hancock (Ft. Branch, Indiana) tied for 15th with three-round 228. O'Brien posted two rounds of 75 before finishing with a 78, while Hancock sandwiched a 78 between a two rounds of 75.

Blake Hilliard (Olney, Illinois)finished one stroke behind O'Brien and Hancock with a three-round 229, tying for 22nd. Hilliard started the tournament with a first round 73, before finishing with a 77 and 79 in the final two days.
The Eagles finish the regular season at the Great Lakes Regional Tournament on April 21-22 at the Purgatory Country Club in Noblesville, Indiana.
