Hancock takes third in annual city tournament

EVANSVILLE, Ind. -- University of Southern Indiana men's golf sophomore
Matt Hancock placed third in the annual
Evansville Courier and Press Men's City Tournament. He finished the tournament with a four-round 286 (68-68-76-74).
Hancock led through the first two rounds after shooting a pair of 68s and was tied for first after posting a 76 in the third round.
The Ft. Branch, Indiana, native ranked third on the team with a 76.7 strokes per round average (spra) during his first season with the Screaming Eagles. He posted a top-10 finish by tying for ninth at the Millikin Opener.
