USI ties for ninth in regional tournament
Eagles will await word on NCAA berth

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. -- The University of Southern Indiana men's golf team finished the 2008-09 regular season by tying for ninth in the Great Lakes Regional #3 at the Purgatory Golf Course in Noblesville, Indiana. The Screaming Eagles recorded a two-round 622 (303-319) and finished 24 strokes out of first.
Ferris State University won the regional competition with a two-round 598 (286-312).
The Eagles were led for the second straight tournament by senior
Keaton Bradshaw (Carmi, Illinois), who tied for 26th with a two-day 154 (75-79). Freshman
Chris Taylor (Linton, Indiana) followed Bradshaw by one stroke and tied for 33rd with a two-day 155 (75-80).
The Eagle will now await word on a possible at-large bid to the NCAA Division II Tournament and the NCAA II Great Lakes Super Regional on May 4-6. The NCAA II Tournament announcement will be made April 25.
