Parsons signs with USI soccer
The University of Southern Indiana men’s soccer team announced the signing of forward Adam Parsons to a letter of intent for the 2002 season. Parsons is the fourth player signed by USI Head Coach Dan Hogan this spring.
Parsons, a senior at Our Lady of Providence High School in Clarksville, Indiana, helped lead Providence to four sectional and three regional championships in four seasons. He started every varsity game during his four-year career, scoring a Providence career-record 54 goals.
The 5’7” forward also was named honorable mention All-State and All-District in 2001.
“Adam has the tools to be a very good attacking player for us,” said Hogan. “He has above average speed and the ability to work well in tight spaces. Adam is a great addition to our 2002 recruiting class.
Parsons joins a recruiting class that includes back Greg Mitchum (Louisville, Kentucky) and goalkeepers Matt Campbell (Franklin, Tennessee) and Kyle Penick (Evansville, Indiana).
