USI men’s soccer ranked ninth in region
The University of Southern Indiana men’s soccer team moved up to ninth in the NCAA Division II Central Region rankings after its 1-0 overtime victory over #17 Hillsdale College on Sunday. USI was ranked 10th last week.
From the GLVC, Lewis University is ranked first, while the University of Wisconsin-Parkside is third, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is fifth Northern Kentucky University is sixth and Bellarmine University is 10th. USI will start Great Lakes Valley Conference action at Northern Kentucky University on Friday, September 20.
The University of Missouri-Rolla, USI’s next opponent, was ranked eighth in the regional poll. USI will host Missouri-Rolla Friday, September 13, in a 7 p.m. match-up at Strassweg Field.
