Bray named Academic All-District
Duncan Bray, a midfielder/forward for the University of Southern Indiana men’s soccer team, was named to the Verizon Academic All-District V team. Bray is now eligible to be on the Verizon Academic All-America ballot.
To be eligible for Academic All-District and All-America, the nominee must be a starter or important reserve with legitimate athletic credentials and at least a 3.20 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale. The student athlete must have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing and completed at least one full academic year at the institution.
District V includes NCAA II, NCAA III, and NAIA institutions from Indiana, Illinois, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Manitoba and Ontario.
Bray has played in all 19 games this fall for the Eagles and leads the team in scoring with 30 points on nine goals and a team-high 12 assists. He also has posted two game-winning goals and assisted on five additional game winners.
The senior from Shetland, Scotland, and the Screaming Eagles have amassed a record of 12-7-0 in 2002 and are on their way to the GLVC Tournament semifinals for the first time since 1995. USI will play top seeded Lewis University Saturday, November 9, at 11 a.m. in Romeoville, Illinois.
