Bray and Henry named first team All-Region
University of Southern Indiana senior midfielder Duncan Bray (Scotland) and senior forward Greg Henry (France) were named to the first team All-Central Region team by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America. Bray and Henry are the first Eagles to be named to the first team since USI put five on the first team in 1995.
This fall, Bray played in all 21 games for the Eagles and led the team in scoring with 30 points on nine goals and a team-high 12 assists. The first team All-GLVC performer also has posted two game-winning goals and assisted on five additional game winners. Bray’s 12 assists rank sixth, nationally, in Division II.
In November, Bray also was recognized nationally by being named second team Verizon All-American.
Henry, the GLVC Player of the Year, played in 20 of the 21 games for the Eagles and led the team with 11 goals. The first team All-GLVC performer was second on the team in total points (29) and assists (7). He also had six game winning goals and assisted on three other game winners.
The seniors helped the Screaming Eagles to their best season since 1991. USI was 13-8-0 and second in the GLVC Tournament in 2002.
