USI kicks-off 2004 on August 27

The 2004 University of Southern Indiana men’s soccer season kicks-off August 27 when the men’s squad hosts Harris-Stowe State University at Strassweg Field.
The Harris-Stowe match begins a stretch of six straight non-conference matches for the men’s team to begin the 2004 campaign. The Screaming Eagles, who were 10-7-1 overall and 8-2-0 in the GLVC during 2003, finish a season-opening two-game homestand with Columbia College Sunday, August 29, before going on the road for four straight.
The road trip will begin with a pair of neutral site matches at Quincy University when the Eagles play Truman State University, Saturday, September 4, and Rockhurst University Sunday, September 5. USI concludes its streak of road matches Friday, September 10, at Ashland University and Sunday, September 12, at Gannon University.
The Eagle teams open GLVC action with league doubleheaders beginning Friday, September 17, at home when they host Quincy University. The men’s team will be playing the opening game of the doubleheaders this year.
The men's and women's doubleheader with Quincy is the start of four in a row at Strassweg. The Eagles will host Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Sunday, September 19 Kentucky Wesleyan College Friday, September 24, and a non-conference doubleheader with the University of Findlay, Sunday, September 26.
The GLVC Tournaments are scheduled to begin Sunday, October 31, with the semifinals and the championship matches Friday, November 5, and Sunday, November 7.
