USI men’s soccer concludes home schedule against Missouri-Rolla
Eagles concluded 2004 campaign at Missouri-St. Louis
EVANSVILLE, Ind. — The University of Southern Indiana men’s soccer team will conclude its 2004 home schedule by hosting the University of Missouri-Rolla Wednesday evening at Strassweg Field. Game time is 6 p.m.
The Screaming Eagles (2-13-1 overall and 1-8-0 GLVC) are hoping to finish the regular on the right track and stop their seven game losing streak. USI fell short on the road against #9 Lewis University, 2-1, and lost a tough match with #16 University of Wisconsin-Parkside, 4-0, last weekend.
Missouri-Rolla (5-8-0 overall) visits Strassweg Field for the final time as a non-conference opponent before joining the GLVC next fall. The Miners have lost their last two, but have won four of their last seven. They are 0-4-0 against the GLVC this fall.
USI leads the all-time series 9-5-1, but UMR has won the last three meetings.
The Eagles conclude the 2004 campaign and conference schedule at the University of Missouri-St. Louis on Saturday. Game time is noon.
The Rivermen (6-9-2 overall and 2-6-1 GLVC) are in the midst of a seven-game winless streak and have lost six straight. UMSL also lost a pair to ranked teams last weekend, losing to #5 Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, 1-0, and to #9 Lewis University, 3-0.
UMSL has been a historically tough opponent for the Eagles, leading the all-time series, 11-3-1. The good news for USI fans is the Eagles have won three of the last four meetings, including last year’s double-overtime 1-0 victory.
