"As our captain, Carl provided strong leadership, both on and off the field," said USI Head Coach
Dan Hogan. "As a midfielder, his high work rate, accurate service, and shooting ability accounted for much of our success. We will miss him on and off the field next year."
Vossmer finished his career at USI as a four-year starter on defense. He was slowed this season due to a knee injury, but finished his career by playing in 65 of a possible 70 games over four seasons. Vossmer also made 61 starts in the USI backfield.
"It seems like Matt has been around forever," said Hogan. "As a four year starter, Voss was an excellent example of hard work, discipline, and desire. We also will miss him both on and off the field."
The Eagles were much improved in 2007, finishing the year with a 6-12-1 overall record.
