JOE EPKEY
Sophomore...Greenwood, Indiana
Major:
Marketing

2003-04: Named Great Lakes Rookie of the Year by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, GLVC Freshman of the Year, and All-GLVC...led the Eagles in singles victories with a 21-6 overall and was the only player in the GLVC be a perfect 7-0 at number one singles...was 13-3 at number one singles and 2-1 at number two singles...combined with Kyle Taylor to produce a 12-4 record at number two doubles...also was 9-4 overall and 3-3 at number one doubles when paired with Weston Phillips. HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in tennis all four seasons at Center Grove High School in Greenwood, Indiana...named to the All-State team twice in singles play and twice in doubles action...was the individual doubles champion in 1999 with his partner, John Stone...also helped lead Center Grove to the Indiana state championship in 2001 and 2002 and to the Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference titles in three of his four seasons. JUNIOR TENNIS: Ranked second in the Central Indiana Tennis Association, 34th in the Midwest, and 190th nationally in Boy’s 18s...played in two of the biggest junior tournaments in 2002 – the Winter Super National and Super National Clays.

SCOTT FOSTER

Major: Mathematics

2003-04: Recorded a 1-0 overall and GLVC record at number six singles during his first year on the squad. AT USI: Has attended USI for the last two years, but has not played tennis. HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in golf and tennis at Harrison High School.

RYAN HUGHES
Junior...Kent, England
Major: Business

2003-04: Posted a 10-10 singles record, going 1-3 at number three and 6-4 at number four...teamed with Nim Shetty to form USI's number doubles team and recorded a record of 12-4 overall, 7-1 in the GLVC...also pair with Evan Luttrell in doubles at number two and three to produce a 2-4 record in non-conference action. 2002-03: Was limited due to a knee injury, but still recorded a 5-6 record in singles and combined with Paulus Halim and Chris McCreight to produce a 6-8 doubles record. HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Chatham Grammar School for Boys in England, participating in tennis, basketball, and hockey.

EVAN LUTTRELL
Senior...Logansport, Indiana
Major: Civil Engineering Technology

2003-04: Ranked fourth on the team in singles with a 13-10 record...was 6-3 at number five singles and 4-5 at number six singles...combined with Weston Phillips at number three doubles to produce an 11-2 doubles record, 5-1 in the GLVC...also paired with three other doubles partners to produce a 14-9 overall doubles record.  2002-03: Emerged as a solid number six singles player, producing a 3-3 record...was 5-5 overall in singles...combined with Chris McCreight to go 1-5 in doubles. 2001-02: Posted a 2-1 record in three singles matches as a freshman...was 0-1 in doubles. HIGH SCHOOL: Earned letters in tennis, golf, and basketball at Logansport High School in Logansport, Indiana.

2003-04: Ranked third on the team with a 14-8 overall singles record...also was 4-1 in the GLVC...was 1-1 at number two singles, 7-5 at number three singles, and 3-0 at number four singles...combined with Ryan Hughes to produce a 12-9 doubles record, including an 8-8 mark at number one doubles...also was 2-4 in doubles when paired with Kyle Taylor in doubles. TRANSFER: Transferred to USI from Tyler Junior College in Tyler, Texas...was a member of the NJCAA National Championship team in 2003...ranked 31st in the NJCAA during 2003. HIGH SCHOOL: Attended the RVV Pre-University College in India...was a part of the Indian National sub-junior doubles clay-court championship team and the Indian National junior hard-court champion.

2003-04: Recorded an 0-2 singles record fall tournaments...combined with three different doubles partners to go 1-2 in dual matches. 2002-03: Saw limited action in his first season with the Eagles, going 1-1 in singles and 0-1 with Sam Tucker in doubles. TRANSFER: Transferred to USI from Morhead State University...was a member of the track and cross country teams. HIGH SCHOOL: Earned letters in tennis, track, and cross country at Memorial High School in Evansville, Indiana...was one-half of the SIAC doubles championship team and was named honorable mention All-State in tennis in 1999...was the 2000 Evansville city champion in the 800m and was a member of Memorial's state qualifying 3,200m relay team in 1999.

KYLE TAYLOR
Senior...Veedersburg, Indiana
Major: Education

2003-04: Recorded an 8-16 singles overall record and a 3-2 mark in the GLVC...combined with Joe Epkey for a 12-4 mark at number two doubles, 7-1 in the GLVC. TRANSFER: Transfers to USI from Vincennes University where he played tennis for two years. HIGH SCHOOL: Earned letters in tennis and basketball at Fountain Central High School in Veedersburg, Indiana.


SAM TUCKER
Senior...Evansville, Indiana
Major: Business and Chemistry

2003-04: Named Academic All-GLVC...was 1-1 in singles action during fall tournaments...was 1-0 with Weston Phillips at number three doubles in a dual match. 2002-03: Named Academic All-GLVC...combined with Shaun Skelton to go 0-1 in doubles. At USI: Attended USI for the last two years, but did not participate in athletics. HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in tennis at Reitz High School...was named Academic All-State.

Major: Undecided

HIGH SCHOOL: The 2004 Indiana State Champion in boy’s tennis....named All-State and All-Conference each of his four seasons at Center Grove High School (Greenwood, Indiana)...also helped CGHS to the 2001 state championship and to semi-state each season...joins his brother Joe on the USI squad. JUNIOR TENNIS: Ranked number three in central Indiana, 52nd in the midwest, and 104th in the nation.


RYAN MCDANIEL
Freshman...Greenwood, IN
Major: Exercise Science

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in tennis and baseball at Center Grove High School (Greenwood, Indiana)...named honorable mention All-State  and All-District in doubles as a junior and All-State as a senior...was a member of the 2001 CGHS state championship team...earned an Academic Honors Diploma. JUNIOR TENNIS: Central Indiana Tennis Association Davis Cup participant and National Junior Tournament Player...ranked number two with doubles partner Andrew McGuire in CITA.


ANDREW MCGUIRE
Freshman...Greenwood, IN
Major: Biology

HIGH SCHOOL: A three-year letterwinner in tennis at Center Grove High School (Greenwood, Indiana)...was a 2002 All-State performer in doubles and was a 2003 All-District player in singles...helped lead CGHS to the 2001 Indiana state championships; three straight sectional, regional, and county championships; and to the 2001 and 2002 Metropolitan Interscholastic Conference championships. JUNIOR TENNIS: Ranked second with Ryan McDaniel in Central Indiana Tennis Association in doubles and 25th in singles.

Freshman...Indianapolis, IN
Major: Accountiing

HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in tennis at Southport High School (Indianapolis, Indiana)...named All-Conference and helped lead SHS to the sectional championship as a senior...played for Wimberly High School in Texas as a freshman.
