Eagles ranked ninth in Midwest Region
The University of Southern Indiana men’s tennis program was ranked 38th in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Top 40 poll. This is the first time USI has ever been ranked in the ITA Top 40, which is sponsored by Omni Hotels.
The Screaming Eagles are in search of a fourth straight Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament championship and their third GLVC regular season crown in four seasons. In the last four seasons, USI has enjoyed an exceptional 37-1 record in the GLVC regular-season schedule, a .974 winning percentage. Including the victories from the GLVC Tournament, the record is a remarkable 48-2, a .960 winning percentage.
The Eagles will start the spring season Friday, February 22, against Western Kentucky at the Tri-State Athletic Club. Match time is 8 p.m. USI opens GLVC action on Friday, March 29, at the University of Indianapolis.
