Epkeys win Louisville Invitational
USI’s Shetty finishes second in Flight “C” singles

LOUISVILLE, KY — University of Southern Indiana men’s tennis doubles duo of sophomore Joe Epkey and freshman Jarrod Epkey (Greenwood, Indiana) won the Flight “A” Doubles Championship at the Louisville Invitational in Louisville, Kentucky Sunday. This was the second straight doubles invitational championship for the Epkeys.
After advancing to the quarterfinals, the Epkeys defeated Morehead State University’s Greg Johnstone and Kim Kachel, 8-5, and DePaul University’s Will Wang and Eric Huffman, 9-7, in the championship match.
In singles actioin, USI senior Nim Shetty (India) lost in the Flight “C” singles championship match in straight sets to Ball State University’s Brad Rhodes.
