USI loses a 6-3 decision to DePauw

EVANSVILLE, Ind. The University of Southern Indiana men's tennis team saw their two-game winning streak snapped by a 6-3 loss to DePauw University Wednesday afternoon at the USI Tennis Courts. USI falls to 5-8 overall , while DePauw, which is ranked 12th in the NCAA Division III, goes to 10-4.
USI was lead by senior Christoph Burger (Wasserburg, Germany), who posted victories in both number one double and singles. Burger combined with junior Nathan Sexton (Santee, California) for the super-tiebreaker win at number one doubles, while posting a straight sets victory at number one singles.
USI senior Andrew McGuire (Greenwood, Indiana) also added the Eagles' third win at number three singles.
The Eagles return to conference play this weekend and throughout the remainder of the season. They travel to Quincy (7-8, 2-1 GLVC) Friday and the University of Missouri St. Louis (7-4, 3-0 GLVC) Saturday.
