USI loses to Rockhurst in first round

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. The University of Southern Indiana men's tennis team saw its season come to a close in the first round of the GLVC Tournament, losing to Rockhurst University, 5-1, Friday afternoon in Indianapolis, Indiana. USI finishes the season with a 8-12 overall record.
USI senior Christoph Burger (Germany) and junior Nathan Sexton (Santee, California) posted the Eagles only victory on Friday at number one doubles, defeating the Hawk's Paul Ravkin and Arturo Baravalle, 9-7. Burger and Sexton finish the year with a 9-7 doubles mark.

Senior earns conference honors for second year
EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana men's tennis senior Christoph Burger (Germany) was named All-GLVC for the second straight year by the conference coaches. Burger, who has been USI's top player the last two years, has a singles record of 17-7 and a doubles record of 13-11 in 2007-08.
In the dual matches this season, Burger was 13-5 at number one singles and combined with junior Nathan Sexton (Santee, California) for 9-7 record at number one doubles.
