USI women’s cross county takes second 
in 21^st annual Stegemoller Classic

The University of Southern Indiana women’s cross country team placed second in the 21^st annual Stegemoller Classic on the USI Cross Country Course Saturday.

In the women’s race, USI’s top finisher was senior Melissa Eddy (Hope, Indiana). Eddy placed third with a 4k time of 15:30.28, a pace of 6:15, following Rebecca Cox and Katie Meehan of Southern Illinois University (Carbondale). Cox was the meet’s top individual with a time of 15:19.09, a pace of 6:10.

Sophomore Jenny Farmer (Princeton, Indiana) trailed four seconds behind Eddy in fourth place, posting a time of 15:34.31.

The Screaming Eagles will be idle next week before running in the Indiana Intercollegiates at Indiana University on Friday, September 15.
