USI women’s cross county takes second 
in 21st annual Stegemoller Classic

The University of Southern Indiana women’s cross country team placed second in the 21st annual Stegemoller Classic on the USI Cross Country Course Saturday.

In the women’s race, USI’s top finisher was senior Melissa Eddy (Hope, Indiana). Eddy placed third with a 4k time of 15:30.28, a pace of 6:15, following Rebecca Cox and Katie Meehan of Southern Illinois University (Carbondale). Cox was the meet’s top individual with a time of 15:19.09, a pace of 6:10.

Sophomore Jenny Farmer (Princeton, Indiana) trailed four seconds behind Eddy in fourth place, posting a time of 15:34.31.

The Screaming Eagles will be idle next week before running in the Indiana Intercollegiates at Indiana University on Friday, September 15.
