USI women’s tennis wins season opener

USI 6 @ Hanover College 3

The University of Southern Indiana women’s tennis team won its season opener, 6-3, against Hanover College Tuesday night in Hanover, Indiana.  Junior Michelle Lenahan (Vincennes, Indiana) the number one singles match (6-1, 6-2) while USI’s number two singles player and 1999 GLVC Freshman of the Year, Emily Blizinger (Oakland City, Indiana) picked up a win in straight sets (6-4, 6-4).
