Huff, who most recently served as head coach at Bosse High School, was a
two-time Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Year and a two-time
Easton All-American at the University of Evansville. She hit .375 with 11
doubles, four triples, four home runs, and 29 RBIs during her senior year.
Huff, who was inducted into the UE Hall of Fame in April of 2008, set nine career marks at UE and was a three-time All-MVC and All-Region selection during her four seasons with the Purple Aces.
She finished her collegiate career as the MVC’s all-time leader in hits (254) and doubles (56). Huff also finished second all-time in the MVC in RBIs (145), third all-time in home runs (23), and fifth all-time in runs scored (134).
Her success on the diamond translated into the coaching ranks where she led
BHS to its best record in 10 years.
“Coach Huff has already demonstrated her ability to succeed in the coaching world and brings that added experience and knowledge to our staff,” Kunkle said. “She was a tremendous catcher and an outstanding offensive player during her college career and that experience has added a lot of improvements to our offensive game. We are excited to have her on board!”
A native of Evansville and a graduate of North High School, Huff is a member of NHS’s Hall of Fame. She was an All-Metro Player of the Year in 1996 and 1997.
Huff graduated from UE in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. She is pursuing a master's degree in education at USI.
